Chapter 6: Curiosity Killed the Neko
OK, hold on a minuet, in chapter 2, Shippo said to Kagome "Because you knew him but weren't in that era, the spell didn't extend and include you." Going off this logic, knowing Inuyasha and not being present in the feudal era when the spell was cast are the only two criteria required in order to not set off the spells trigger. This analysis and direct interpertation of Shippo's own words also means that anyone who knew Inuyasha from Kagome's time would therefore be able to tell him of the past without triggering the curse. These people would include: Souta, Kagome's Mother, Kagome's Grandfather, Yuka, Eri, Ayumi, and last but certainly not least Hojo, who did not live in the past. So, while his ancestor Akitoki Hojo would not have been able to breath a word to Inuyasha, this future Hojo, who knew Inuyasha and wasn't in the Feudal Era when the spell was cast, would, logically, also be excluded from triggering the curse. Well, am I wrong? If so then I greatly apologize, but to me it seems that you have either completely forgotten the exceptions you yourself have set for Inuyasha's curse or did not fully think it through when you created said exceptions. Either way, it would mean that either 1) a rewright is needed for the end of this chapter or for chapter 2, which it kinda seems too late to fix or 2) a pretty big IF/ammendment for the current exceptions to the curse is needed within the next chapter.
Despite my issues with the ending, I quite enjoyed the rest of this chapter, particularly when Inuyasha mentioned that his "beast" had awakend, since it obviously recoganized Kagome even when Inuyasha himself does not. Of course, I really wish that so called "wife" of his (boy did it even make me upset when she was referd to by that particular title, and it was even worse when she had the nerve to call Inuyahsa "husband" and "her hanyou," which he isn't and NEVER will be!) would get a clue and get lost! Obviously Inuyasha's demon side has never accepted her, and she's only causing Kagome harm and will likely just end up causing harm to her so called "husband" as well. I know you mentioned she's not supposed to be a bad guy, but it's so hard not to clump her in with being just as horribly as Naraku, Kikyo, and especially the witch who cursed Inuyasha in the first place. That's prebably part of the reson why it was so satisfying for me when Inuyasha admitted to at least himself that he wanted "nothing more than to go back to" Kagome and then ended up jealous when he saw her and Hojo together. I'd say that, overall this is a 9/10 star chapter. It was very interesting and only the problem with the ending prevents me from ranking it 10/10 so well done! Author's Response: Hey lover~ I swear everything will be explained in the next chapter!! :3 It will all make sense eventually and you'll see why. I like to add twists to my stories and this will be one with a twist. Due to the confusion, I'll most likely be updating ASAP so that everyone will get a better understanding. Thanks for the review~
