Title: Chapter 11: Armageddon's Just A Matter Of Time

I can see what good Inu-papa could do, but I don't really see what Izayoi would be able to do...  I am also a little surprised that Inu trusted them so readily.  I know it probably seemed like a long time to a writer, but it still seemed a little rushed to me.  I look forward to Sess's reaction to his father coming back to life.

Anyway.  Good job of reminding us that Toshio is an inuhanyou.  And with as much trouble as Kouga is in, I think that it is funny that Toshio bit him.  I'm glad that clan Kagome finally knows the whole truth about Kouga and his 'misdeeds.'  Kagome knew that he had slaughtered humans, but comparing him to Naraku brings it home.

I think that if Toshio mentions that Kagome tried to help and that the others in clan Kagome tried to help, it may soften up Inu toward Kagome.  The introduction of Izayoi into the mix may also help with that.  Mom wants her baby to be happy - and she probably knows that Kagome will make her baby happy.

I am glad that Jaken has made it to Inu - finally - so we can see what is going to happen there.

Thanks for writing for us! Oh, and I found how to add this to my favorites so I can tell when you've updated.  stupie Cait forgot to sign in!

Author's Response:

Izayoi's usefulness was actually hinted at a few chapters ago. And Inuyasha trusted them because his mother was able to quote, verbatim, her part in his dream from chapter 2. He hadn't told anybody about it, so it lent some credibility to their claims. It may have seemeed rushed, but realistically, anything that had happened in that room would have been rushed, and I just wanted to get the story moving. I almost cut out the flashback for that very purpose.

I kept your situation about mentioning his differences in mind when I wrote that part, so I'm glad you noticed it. Yes, Inuyasha will start softening toward Kagome (well, he's sort of started. I mean, there were no death threats. Baby steps, right?) fairly soon. Izayoi will probably help with that, but not overbearingly so. She knows how much what they did screwed her son up.

Title: Chapter 13: Set The Demons Free And Watch Them Fly

Another fun chapter full of hidden messages of a sort.  I liked that Izayoi and Inutaishou are able to help, even a little, in the raising of hanyou child.

The thing that I think is the best part of this chapter is Izayoi and her honest, human reaction to Sesshoumaru.  I would have been more than a little disappointed with her if she had gone right to loving him just because he was Inupapa's son.  He did do some horrible things to her and she has every right to be upset and put out with him.  It is also a good look at her own strength that she is still willing to help him anyway.  Brings to mind Inuyasha's help of all those humans who descriminate against him.

Kagome's night time interaction with "Hope" was kinda fun.  I can't for the life of me think of the one piece that you mentioned with the serial killers......arghhh.  Please remind me.

Thanks for writing for us!  I'm still enjoying this story.

Author's Response:

Well, Inuyasha has to get that part of his nature from someone, right? I'm glad that you didn't find Izayoi bitchy for reacting like she did, I was worried that I might have gone over the top there. Sesshoumaru's not about to be forgiven for anything anytime soon, if ever. There's a lot to answer for there.

The piece you're asking about is Present Time. I actually had a few more specific references written in that passage, before trimming it down to Broadway Bound and Present Time.

Title: Chapter 14: Heroes Are Hard To Find

This is a good chapter filled with action and with some psych stuff and background. The chapter moved quickly and didn’t bog up anywhere.

All the undead crack me up for some reason.  I guess it goes back to those Evil Dead movies.  I don’t know.  The only confusing point that I see in this chapter involves them.  You state that an undead gopher attacks Izayoi, bites her arm, and holds on until she beats it to death.  If it is already dead, how is she beating it to death?  Perhaps you could change that to something like beating it until the spark of undeath left its body or something like that.

I find it interesting that Sess offered Izayoi a job and thought she would take it at the expense of her son.  I don’t think he would do the same thing now, with Rin by his side.  The whole “past” situation between all of them is a point of interest with many readers.  I still like the actions and reactions of Izayoi in relation to Sess.  I also like that Inupapa stood up for her and let him know that there would be some answers required later.  I like that he gave Sess a specific reason for why he gave Inuyasha the sword and it wasn’t just that it sealed his blood.

Last but definitely not least, I like that Kagome had her little talk with Hope and is now doing what is right and helping Inuyasha.  Is Kouga with them or not?

Thanks for the title on that story, I couldn’t remember it to save my life.  Thanks for writing for us.  I’m really enjoying this piece.

Author's Response:

I get what you're saying with the undead gopher getting beaten to death, but I'm not sure that there's a better way to put it than saying she beat it to death. I mean, even if you watch an actual zombie movie like Dawn of The Dead, or Return of The Living Dead, or whatever, it's always "destroy the brain to kill them." The way I look at it is, they aren't really dead, they're undead. As in corpses that can move around and have at least some small thought process. They're like vampires, where yes, technically they're dead people that walk around, but you still kill them. You wouldn't think twice about someone killing Dracula with a stake to the heart. So yeah, they're dead, but they're not, so they can be killed.

I like making Sess a bastard, though I think making her choose would probably be OOC for him. I doubt he'd care enough to bother, but I needed a reason for her to refuse. And Kagome isn't doing this to help Inuyasha per se... I mean, she doesn't even know he's there, she just knows that something strange is going on. I doubt she'd be swift enough on the uptake to get dream guy's Thriller reference. And yes, Kouga's there. I should have made this more clear in the chapter, but I couldn't figure out a good way to mention everyone who was going. It's: Kagome, Sango, Mirkoku, and Shippo riding on Kilala. (Or Kirara.. I forget which spelling is correct, and I bet I chose the wrong one.) Kaede and Kikyo are riding on Hachi, and Kouga is going there under his own power, because he doesn't need the help.

Title: Chapter 15: Thriller Night

Nice chapter. I enjoyed the fight and the reactions afterwards. Some things that particularly made me giggle a little were Miroku's 'curious and curiouser' and Inutaishou's 'eyes on the prize'. I kept waiting for him to tell someone not to loose their heads. :)

Inutaishou seems to understand that if his children are going to ever get along he will have to be a mediator between the two. But the best jab on the Sess front actually came from Inuyasha. When his mother tells him that he will eventually have to forgive everyone, Inu pops back with the question of her forgiveness of Sess. A lot of emotional stress will come from this one I think.

Your Kouga is having some jealousy issues it seems (though I am glad that you mentioned him). At every point he is trying to remind everyone that he is in charge, when he so obviously isn't. You can almost feel sorry for the guy. And then when Inupapa comments that he wouldn't understand about his sword use because his jyaki is whimpy - I had to chuckle at that. :)

I am glad to see that Inuyasha is concerned over Kagome's curse status. It is a good sign for future forgiveness of her on his part.

Thanks for writing for us. I look forward to you next chapters.

Author's Response: I admit, I'm a bit of a Kouga basher... Rereading the last few chapters, I kind of like them, but, damn am I ever glad to get the zombie thing done with. But Kouga does have one more important role in the story, and forgiveness is nigh!

Title: Chapter 16: I'll Feel The Guilt Tomorrow

Whew am I behind!

Anyway.  Another good chapter on this one.   I read so many stories with an annoying kitsune...I wish that more of them had that sleeping powder to use on him.  But the idea of Inuyasha having nightmares as a child was rather sad.  Understandable, but sad.  Inu's almost flippant attitude about it makes it all the sadder because it means that it happened a whole lot.

I rather liked that Kouga sees the man being the same as him and his tracking of Kagura and Naraku.  It is an interesting ethical delima.  It's ok for Kouga to go after Kagura because he is the "good guy,"  but when Kouga is the one being hunted, we feel a little differently.  I hope you look into that dynamic a little more in future chapters.

Kagome's dream...interesting how our subconscious comes up and bites us in the ass sometimes.  (It also made me laugh because I've read those fanfictions, too)

Thanks for sharing.  I look forward to reading the next few chapters I'm behind!

Author's Response:

Unfortunately, with Kouga's loss of free will, that dynamic won't be explored for a little bit.

Yeah... Stupid subconscious. I think I put way too many dreams in this story. It's started to become a crutch... And of course you've read those fanfictions. That's most of them out there. He never has free will. "Hey, don't do that, SIT!" "You can't say things like that, SIT!" "How dare you feel like you do? SIT!"

He's being conditioned, I tells ya.

Title: Chapter 17: But I'm Numb Today

I wrote a really good review, but the site ate it.  I commented about how I liked the dream sequences but I thought that the tombstones would have either shards in them or descriptions of the shard-powered monsters that had killed the people.  Then I said that I thought that the comment that Inuyasha had OD'd was the cruelest one.

Kagome's attitude when she talked to Inuyasha wasn't what I thought it should be.  She should be eating a LOT of crow, but instead she came across telling Inu what to do again...

Kouga's 'turning' and Kikyou's death run neck-n-neck for most shocking moment in this story.  I feel sorry for Kouga though.

Lastly I liked the way that the last section of this was so 'jumpy'  it added a little shock factor to the whole thing.

Thanks for writing for us.

Author's Response:

Hmm... Hungry hungry websites...

That tombstone idea would have been entirely too logical for a dream. Besides, those were the people she'd never met, so she really wouldn't be able to put names on them. I'm sure her dilly-dallying for tests and such has killed at least a few people, so that's where that came from.

Yes, she should have been eating a lot of crow. She knows it too. But she's not really the crow-eating type. But then again, neither is Inuyasha.

Title: Chapter 18: For The Greater Good Of God

This was a rather sneaky chapter.  The nameless man has really upped the ante by having Kouga massacre all those people and then having the monk blame it on the kitsune.  Very sinister.  I wish that Naraku's plans had half the coniving that your nameless man has.  (but then didn't he give this man the it's Naraku by default)

I'm glad that Kagome decided to admit that she was very wrong about what she said to Inuyasha.  She has a rough time coming to get back in his good graces.  I hope it ends up well.

The scene with Toshi and Shippou having to work out their problems one on one.  I hope that the Miroku and Sango learn the same lesson and let Kagome deal with Inuyasha without adding in their comments.

Inupapa's smackdown on Sess was wonderful.  I wonder what Sess really thinks about all of this.  He has all but worshiped his father ever since his death and for their initial conversation to be basically a big o' grow up talk... has to have an effect on you, even if you don't show it.  Izayoi's little zinger to Rin was fun too.  I wonder if Rin will ask him about it later.

Thanks for writing for us.  I'm kinda sad that there is only one more chapter for me to read right now.

Title: Chapter 19: These Colours Don't Run

While it is completely normal, I am still surprised that the "rest" of the party thinks that now that Inuyasha is interacting with them again, that everything is back to normal.  One of the reasons that I am enjoying this story so much is that you AREN'T letting the characters fall into their typical rolls again.  Good Job.  Kagome slowly realizing she is a controlling harridan would be much better than her suddenly becoming perfect.  Her reaction to Kaede's catatonia was a wonderful example.  Even though she has said that she won't treat Inu the same, she still yelled at him and told him what to do.

The scene with the men behind the barrier and Inuyasha coming up to see the fight was wonderful.  I had to smile to myself as I remembered fight between my sister and I that dad watched and mom freaked over.  Good characterization all around.

The end of this chapter has the nameless man sending Kouga after Jeninji (sp?)  :(  I really really like him.  I don't want him hurt.  But you have given a completely logical reason for it to happen.

Title: Chapter 20: From Cold Bloody War

There were three things in this chapter that I really enjoyed.  First, I like that Miroku is trying so hard to be a friend to Inuyasha.  His sad comment that he liked pretending he had his friend back.
The second thing is that Izayoi (who rocks) advises Kagome that she has done wrong in the past as well and was able to redeem herself.  It sheds a light of hope for Kagome.  I also though that Izayoi's inferrance that Inuyasha talks about Kagome in his sleep was sad and sweet.
The third thing I really liked was that Naraku has basically gotten his.  He was so arrogant that he thought that he was powerful enough to absorb the First.  Fool.

There was one thing that I didn't like very much though.  Kagome's request for a love potion.  That scene shows that she really doesn't get it yet and needs even more remedial psychological spanking (in my humble opinion)

Thanks for writing for us.  I really enjoy reading this.

Author's Response:

Well, the love potion request is understandable, I mean, other than wanting the easy way out, have you ever seen a love potion portrayed negatively? She'll come around.

Yeah... It's probably evident that I don't like Naraku. I find him boring, so I make up villains. But he was a loose end that was necessary to tie up.

After the death of Naraku, an attack on InuYasha and Kagome leads to the discovery of a priest at war with youkai and hanyou, a mysterious Inu Youkai, fox magic, and a beautiful Kami who has plans of her own. Can they save themselves and come to terms with who they are and what their life together means?

I love the bit about the spiders.  As a spider afficionado myself, I can understand what he is saying, but it is still pretty dark and scarry.  Where is this going?  How will Inu get to save her?  Will he had to wait 500 years to find her, knowing that whole time that he could be a minute too late.  that would horrendously suck.

Kagome and Hojo had been friends for years before she went through the well and met Inuyasha. When she came home to her era one day, Hojo asked her out. Finding no reason not to, she accepts. Moving to college, she realizes that Hojo is not the perfect boyfriend he seemed to be. Now, beaten and used, she wishes that she hadn’t left Inuyasha back in the feudal era, 500 years in the past....

This story has been collaberated with my beta O-Mega Lead. This is soley his plot and asked me to write it, while he beta'd it. This is a Dark Fic and has graphic rape scenes. We do not condone such behavior.

This is a Inu/Kag Fic but starts off, Hojo/Kag.

This piece is a bloody rollercoaster ride, no pun intended.  From one chapter to the next we love or hate Inuyasha, we want to throttle or cuddle Kagome, and slap or comfort Michi.  And I can't stop reading it!  There are sections that are, honestly, unrealistic. [stupid nurse information] 150mg of depo-provera every 2 weeks for 2-3 months would have Kagome's bones leaching themselves of calcium while her legs developed clots, Her breasts started producing milk, she'd probably gain 10-20 lb of pure water weight and could have gone through kidney and liver shutdown.  [/stupid nurse information]  or a school system notfinding out that a student had married one of it's teachers...

I've enjoyed Sango the most out of the characters and I do look forward to reading more about Izayoi.  Thanks for writing for us!

Author's Response:

Lmao!!!! Damn you, nurse information!!!!! XDDD No, really, I REALLY enoyed your review! It made me grin so much. I really don't exaggerate or say this with ANY ego when I say that this is my very best work.

As for the unrealistic parts, I know, lol. I took Depo for a while and so I know the risks and everything, and that's really why I started taking it. In all honesty, it was just going to be some weirdo anti-pregnancy drug, but that's the best part of it being fictional; I could give her as much as I wanted and she STILL wouldn't suffer from drawbacks, lol!

However, what IS true is that in my old school (hand on the bible), one of the teachers (specifically, a math teacher) married a freshman girl. I am not even kidding about this one. Basically, the girl (who shall remain nameles) and the teacher (also remaining nameless) met when he was teaching at her junor high and she was still a student there. As "pedophillac" as it sounds, these two were genuinely in love and I was one of their BIGGEST supporters, especially when everyone found out and it caused a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE controversy. But the Superintendent knew, and since the girl's parents were fine with the marriage in general, that was where it got negative attention. But, believe me when I say that a situation like that can happen. All sorts of people get married all the time, of all ages, without anyone knowing.

BUT, in this story, the Superintendent knew about their nuptuals; it was just keeping it from the other teachers and the students for obvious reasons. :)

BUT!!!!!!!! I really, really appreciate the review and I hope to see more of yours in the future! Keep reading, thank you so much! (Also, question: I know this is random, but what are the risks of Depo vs The Pill? Thanks so much!!! <3)
