Chapter 1: Mystery
It was the last day of summer. Everyone’s last chance to party before hitting the books. And boy, was this a party.
Inuyasha dabbed and put out his cigarette when he entered the packed one story bungalow with his friend. “See ya,” waved Inuyasha, not waiting one second as he walked off in the opposite direction. “Oh c’mon man, just loosen up.” Miroku cried after him. He lost his train of thought when a scantily dressed girl walked by. He winked suggestively at a passing girl and followed her when she gave him a look of her own. “Uh- yeah. ..have fun buddy,” He blindly slapped Inuyasha on the arm before he hurried after the girl.
Inuyasha continued towards the bar that was set up and sat down on a stool. “Give me one of your strongest,” Inuyasha’s gruff voice could barely be heard over the loud music. He downed it in one gulp and slammed the glass back on the table.
Somewhere in the middle of the dance floor was two dancing bodies. Grinding and rubbing against each other sinfully like no one was watching.
“Woo, Sango. I think it’s time for a break, you want a drink?” asked Kagome as the pulsing beat finally began to slow down. Sango shook her head no, though barely paying attention.
“Damn Kags, just who is that?” Sango asked with a low whistle as she pointed off in the corner of the room. Kagome laughed and gave her a small push, “Oh, Just go and find out.”
“A lemon- lime margarita please!” Kagome yelled as she waved at the bartender. She sat down and fixed her outfit before her eyes began to wander. It didn’t get far when it landed on a silver haired man sitting a few seats down from her. Feeling mischievous, she scooted down to sit beside him.
‘What the hell are they mixing these with? .. Water?!’ Inuyasha finished off his 7th glass and was about to bitch at the bartender when another little black dressed body landed on the seat next to his.
Kagome frowned when he ignored her.
“My name’s Kagome.”
Inuyasha gave her a once look over and turned back to his drink. Isn’t this one persistent.
Kagome’s party mood almost immediately fizzed out. She saw what he was looking at and yet, no reaction? She looked down at herself. A little black dress topped with a cute denim vest fitted snugly on her body, paired off with blood red stilettos. She looked amazing, if she did say so herself.
She slumped forward in her seat and her bottom lip stuck out in a little pout. She was hurt.
“Look, I’m didn’t come here to looking for some quick lay, so don’t waste my time.”
Kagome’s back straightened as she tensed up. “Ex- Excuse me?!”
“You heard me.” He slapped some money on the table and headed towards the exit.
Oh no no no no no. Kagome wasn’t going to let him go that easily, especially not after that. She ran after him and grabbed a fist full of the back of his maroon collared shirt. “Hey, just wait a minute here, wha-“
Kagome was cut off when Inuyasha suddenly turned around and grabbed a fistful of her hair, painfully yanking her head back. His face was mere inches from hers. She could feel the heat radiating off his body, and the warm puff of his breath on her nose. Is it getting hot in there or is just her?
Inuyasha’s tongue snaked out and slowly sweep over bottom lip before fully engulfing her in a rough kiss. Kagome wouldn’t normally let things like this happen. She wasn’t just some easy girl anyone can pick up. No. No she wasn’t. –
A moan escaped her lips as she crumbled under his hold. As sudden as it began, it ended. She found herself thrown to the ground.
“Exactly what I thought, just another bitch in heat,” Inuyasha sneered as he walked out the door with his hands stuffed in his pocket.
Kagome got up from the floor, almost screaming in frustration. “What the hell is your problem?!” she yelled after his retreating body.
Kagome ran her hands through her hair and took a deep breath when she heard Sango call out her name. She turned around and scanned the crowd, looking for her friend. It seems like everyone was oblivious to what just occurred. But nothing could get past Sango.
“What the hell happened back there?!” she demanded.
Kagome shrugged. “I don’t know- it was just ... - whatever.”
“That lip lock sure didn’t look like whatever.”
“Argh, talking about him just makes my blood boil. Let’s just go dance alright? .. By the way, how did things go with your loverboy?”
“Who? .. You mean Miroku? It was great!" She squealed in excitement, "He’s such a gentlemen, so sweet .. and caring..and -” Sango trailed off with a dazed look on her face.
“Uh oh .. are those wedding bells I hear?” She giggled.
Sango rolled her eyes and grabbed Kagome’s arm,
“C’mon, the night’s just beginning.”
What his problem? Pms much?
I know, it's short. I posted this on adultfanfiction already (under the same name).. and my fellow author friend (Selina MacCloverer) kinda intro-ed me to this site. I have nothing much to say really.. but the chapters will get longer.. :)
p.s the first 2-3 chapters haven't been beta-ed. From then after, I found a beta, Meg. Just giving a heads up :) I have the worst grammer ever.
