1. For Me? by SakuraRyuu
"Insecurity sucks," Kagome thought sadly.
"InuYasha," Kagome began as the group stopped to make camp, "could you please carry me to the stream? I need a bath and it's really far." She looked at him as pitifully as she could muster.
"Weak human," InuYasha grumbled, offering Kagome his back.
Once at the stream Kagome started again.
"InuYasha," she whined, "the rocks in the stream are all slimy. Would you clear them for me?" Kagome plopped on the ground, looking too tired to carry on.
"Keh," he answered, walking to the edge of the stream to clear the slimy rocks. InuYasha was beginning to notice Kagome was being needy, which was unusual for her, when a faint scent hit his nose.
"Oh, no!," InuYasha groaned inwardly. Since they had become a couple he had begun making a conscious effort to be nicer to her when her cycle was upon her and he had learned over time this made her moody. Now that they were together, he had to tread lightly.
"Anything else, wench?" InuYasha asked Kagome before he took to the tress to keep watch while she bathed.
"No, I guess not. I'll call if I need anything, though." Kagome smiled weakly and waited for InuYasha to leave before she undressed and took to the water.
Kagome washed her hair and cleansed her skin. The cool spring was doing more for her than she hoped. Her tension was easing and she was beginning to feel much better. As she toweled off she noticed the slight smear of blood on her towel.
"Oh, no!" she inwardly groaned. She had started her period and left her tampons in her backpack back at camp. She didn't want to get dressed and risk ruining her underclothes on the way back to camp so she returned to the water and called for InuYasha.
"InuYasha!" she called, watching the trees for him. Once he landed before her Kagome said, "I need something from my backpack and I didn't bring it. Would you go get it for me?"
InuYasha grumbled but did as he was asked. When he returned Kagome asked him to toss her a tampon so she could dress.
"What?!" InuYasha responded, visibly shaken. "I love you but there is NO WAY I'm touching one of those!" With that he took to the trees, leaving Kagome to her business.
