Title: A Glimmer in the Darkness

Hehe it is about time that Shippo gets his comeuppance from Kagome, she does spoil him just a tad if we are all honest with ourselves. I loved the details in this and the plot of it all. The small things you added in like Sesshomaru's attempt at a joke, were wonderful and really made the story flow nicely! Thank you for sharing!!

I love this story! I can't stop reading it again and again. Truth, it happens will all your pieces! One of the many things I love about your writing is the way you picture the main characters. You are one of the few -mainly the only one- that don't see Shippo as a cute little kid and what really he is, a young youkai and a spoiled one. I love how you describe Sango, particularly in L&LD, her turmoil between her loyalty to Kagome and her inner prejudice due to her raising. Now you've gotten me hook to Minue. Continue like this, you are a great author. And thank you so much for your journal and your updates on the manga!

Don't like shippo very much, do you?

Author's Response: He's never been much more than a form of comic relief, and he has had many comments throughout the series that were annoying and often downright mean. However, his behavior after Kikyou's death mocking InuYasha, and then the pure selfishness he showed during the Kitsune Inn arc were completely uncalled for. He really is little more than a spoiled brat with little purpose other than to annoy. However, his behavior in this oneshot was amplified to anger InuYasha enough to not care if he was eaten. After all, Kagome is far more important that Shippou is, and InuYasha is certainly more powerful even if he is hanyou and Shippou a full youkai.

Great work, Literary Goddess!! Again you have masterfully captured the characters true to In Character! Exquisite!! Awesome and Beautiful!! I loves it! The kisses were really sweet and touching! I loved that it was finally Shippou's attitude/selfishness that caused one of them to be harmed. I wonder if he'll finally learn from this. Maybe Kagome should get him his own rosary. I do think Inuyasha would quickly sink into despair if he lost his sight and in that way too! Bravo! He would really push Kagome hard away from him for her own protection. I loved the way Kagome was stubborn in her belief that he will get better and to protect him take him to her world. Sesshoumaru's appearance was a bonus and a treat! Loved the way Rin and Kagome both mirror each other for the Demons they love. How they sweetly and without any deceit or bullying work their loving magic on them. gently changing their hearts. Swoons!! Bravissimo!! Bravo!! And KUDOS galore!!! Please keep up this wonderful work!! You TOTALLY Rock!! Thank you so much for sharing this us and for letting us review! Much Pleasure!!

vary nice. i dont think shippo is that bad, but i liked the idea nonetheless for it.

Author's Response: Well, it's not really unusual for Shippou to cross the line from mischievious to meaness, and he showed how selfish he can really be in that Kitsune Inn arc. I just took it one step further to what a spoiled brat could turn into with no discipline. I'm glad you liked it, though.
