Eight years ago, Kurokaze Castle was set ablaze to burn to the ground. As the young lord of the castle lay sick and dying on that fateful night in a room that burned around him, he resigned himself to death. Or, he would have, had a beautiful savior not sprung from the flames that consumed his room, and saved him. This angel was known as a 'Kunoichi': a female trained in the art of stealth, deception, and despite her beauty, assination.
Eight years later, Miroku, along with his cousin Inuyasha, and his younger sister Hazuki, continue their search for the kunoichi who saved Miroku's life so many years earlier with only one clue as to her idenity. They come upon Kaede's village, and Miroku believes that Kagome, the youngest daughter of the head priestess, is the girl who saved his life so many years ago.
Too bad his cousin Inuyasha doesn't feel the same way. Have they really found Miroku's savior, or is she simply using her deceptive arts to fool them, only to cover up her true involvement with the burning of Kurokaze Castle eight years ago...?
